In the area of N'Erud in Remnant 2, you’ll be faced with a choice – do you Destroy the Core or Shut Down the Core? This guide will explain the perks of each, as well as how to get to both of the unique boss weapons.

When you first enter N'Erud, if you land in Seeker's Rest, you'll encounter a drone behind glass that asks you to find him and help him save the Dryzr. You'll find a Seeker's Key that can be used to unlock the tower and head inside, but you'll need 2 more to get in.

Simply put, you're going to want to explore every area in N'Erud for two main reasons.

First, you'll need to find the Seeker's Keys in the regions that have the Main Quest marker. Take these, and open the door and enter Sentinel's Keep, the tower.

Second, you'll want to get your hands on the "Override Pin" - which you'll need to be able to destroy the core. This can be found in one of the side regions, alongside the Siphoner Trait.

Upon entering Sentinel's Keep you'll find nothing but a lone elevator. Hop right on (as the custodian instructs) and make your way to the console you'll find at the top. In each case you're going to fight the Guardian of N'Erud.

If you'd like to side with the Custodian, you're going to need to shut down the core. Approach the console, and interact with the display - which will launch a boss fight with Sha'Hala: Spectral Guardian of N'Erud, the alternate boss of this shard of N'Erud,

I'll note: I thought this was the harder of the two boss fight choices!

After defeating the Spectral Guardian of N'Erud, the Custodian will thank you for helping, and you'll get the Eidolon Shard, which you can take back to Ava for the melee weapon "Spectral Blade" which is a sweet-looking Spectral Katana.

If you'd like to side with the Custodian, you're going to need to destroy the core. Approach the console, and interact with the slot to the right side of the display, and then place the "Override Pin" - which will launch a boss fight with Sha'Hala: Guardian of N'Erud.

After defeating the Spectral Guardian of N'Erud, the Custodian will ask you what you've done as N'Erud crumbles and you're teleported back to Ward 13. You'll get the Void Cinder, which you can take back to Ava for the long gun "Aphelion" and get the "Was this supposed to Happen?" Achievement if you don't already have it!

With N'Erud's fate decided, and the shard in your possession - head back to Labyrinth and proceed to the next world, or give it to the keeper.
